The short version
Anyone can report content, with or without an account. Use the "Report" link on any product page, go to teaselock.com/report, or email complaints@teaselock.com. We acknowledge every report straight away and review and resolve it within 7 business days. Illegal content is removed immediately once we find it. We tell you what we decided. Child sexual abuse material is reported to the IWF, NCMEC and the police.
What you can report
- Content that may be illegal, including anything involving or suggesting a minor.
- Content made or shared without someone's consent.
- Content that breaks our Acceptable Use and Content Policy.
- Copyright infringement.
- Impersonation, doxxing or harassment.
- Any other complaint about Teaselock or how we have dealt with you.
If you appear in content and want it removed, use our Appeals Policy at teaselock.com/appeal instead. The content is taken down straight away while we check.
How to report
- Click the "Report" link on the product page.
- Go to teaselock.com/report.
- Email complaints@teaselock.com.
You do not need an account. It helps if you include:
- the link to the content, or the creator's name and the item title;
- what the problem is;
- a way to contact you, if you want to hear the outcome.
You can report anonymously, but we will not be able to tell you the outcome.
What happens next
- Acknowledgement: we acknowledge your report immediately.
- Review: a member of our team reviews the content and the report.
- Action: if the content is illegal, we remove it immediately. If it breaks our rules, we remove it or require changes. We may also suspend the account and withdraw access while we investigate.
- Resolution: we resolve every complaint within 7 business days.
- Outcome: we tell you what we decided, if you gave us a way to contact you.
Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in England.
Child sexual abuse material
We have zero tolerance. If we find or are told about content that may be child sexual abuse material, we:
- remove it immediately;
- report it to the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF), the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and the police;
- close the accounts involved;
- preserve the records for law enforcement.
If you come across child sexual abuse material anywhere online, you can also report it directly to the Internet Watch Foundation.
Copyright (DMCA) notices
If you believe content on Teaselock infringes your copyright, send a notice to complaints@teaselock.com including:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- identification of the copyrighted work you say is infringed;
- identification of the infringing material and where it is on Teaselock, such as its link;
- your name, address, telephone number and email address;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act for them.
We will remove or disable access to the material and tell the creator who uploaded it.
Counter-notices
If your content was removed and you believe this was a mistake or that you have the right to use it, send a counter-notice to complaints@teaselock.com including:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- identification of the material removed and where it appeared before removal;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith the material was removed by mistake or misidentification;
- your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court and will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.
We will pass the counter-notice to the person who sent the original notice. If they do not tell us within 10 business days that they have started court proceedings, we may restore the material. Material is never restored if it also breaks any other policy, or if anyone shown has asked for it to be removed.
Repeat infringers
We close the accounts of creators who repeatedly infringe copyright.
False or abusive reports
Please only report in good faith. Knowingly false notices may have legal consequences, and we may ignore reports that are clearly abusive.
If you are unhappy with our decision
Reply to our outcome email and tell us why. If you are a creator and we took action on your content or account, see the Appeals Policy.
